Blender is not supported on my MacBook Pro

I need to download Blender but it says I cannot open the application because it is not supported on my Mac. Is there any way for me to upgrade my MacBook Pro or should I buy another computer?

Blender does not sign with Apple as a legitimate developer, it's not law that they have to.. This warning is a security alert to you , you can allow Blender to run from here:

Gatekeeper and runtime protection in macOS - Apple Support

Open Blender, get the alert, close alert box, go to gatekeeper, go to the first tab, unlock gatekeeper, allow Blender, close gatekeeper, open Blender (windows often does nearly the same thing with some 3rd party and open source software)

You shouldn't need to buy another computer, but you should consider buying a 3 button mouse.

Hello, I had the same issue, then I realised the version of Blender 3.2.2 that's automatically on the website to download is for the Apple Silicon graphics card, my 2019 Macbook Pro has the Intel Iris Plus graphics so I just changed the download option on the drop-down menu to the Intel one and can now open Blender. I reckon because of the M1, Blender's changed its default Mac option so would explain this extra step. Hopefully that works for you.
