Iphone is frozen in zoom & cannot restart

I zoomed my phone so I can see it and now it is stuck in frozen mode and I cannot unlock it. I have tried holding the up volume and then the down volume briefly and then holding the start button. The apple logo never appears.I have tried telling Siri to turn off zoom but that doesn't work. Am I supposed to get a new phone...its not bad enough that I can't see and now I'll need to spend another $1300 on a phone? Sorry for the sarcasm but this is maddening. Please help!
