My phone is getting switched off when i plug to charging kindly let me know the reason

B. Stuck in a Boot Loop:

the iPhone is stuck in a boot loop.  So, refer to my user tip: How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop - User Tip

C. Try a New and/or Apple Brand Cable.

Based on personal experience: If it were the charger itself, then try going brand-for-brand(Apple-for-Apple), though not necessary, it will increase reliability and trustworthiness between the two devices.

D. Damaged Port, Maybe?:

If the port on your iPhone is apparently damaged, see about getting this serviced.

E. Get this Serviced:

Contact your local retailer, seeing if they replace iPhone batteries. Also, take this to an AASP (Apple Authorized Service provider, asking for assistance.

Contacting an AASP:

3. Enter: your location information
4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone

F. Provide Apple Feedback:

Do your Part: Report this issue to Apple. It occurred after an update installation --something they should be made aware of. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what fixes to include in updates to come.
