locked SOS mode screen dark and locked

Accidentally set off SOS mode while trying to rid a distortion on my iPhone 11 by turning it off. Was able to turn off phone using vol. buttons and the side button. Upon turning phone back on the screen was distorted with vertical lines.I tried to back up phone thru ICloud but screen was so distorted and would fade to dark. I am not sure if the back up completed before the screen went dark. I was successful in backing up phone to iTunes on computer but was not able to restore back up to my phone.

My phone has charged all night , screen is still dark with a light distortion in the bottom rat corner which could be the image of my locked screen. Still unable to turn off phone, and it is still in SOS mode and the screen is frozen. Please Help

Hello~ Not sure which model iPhone you have but try this if possible. It’s a prior post by *Axel Foley*

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2) If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.
