How can I show a different location from where I am actually located on family sharing ok by a

I occasionally can not let my family see my real physical location on family sharing but I also need to try and not make it obvious I’ve turned off location services . What’s the best ways to do this . I have been reading about airplane e mode and also having two different apple devices but I’m still uncertain about the technicalities when utilizing either of them. Can someone let me know the details and be as specific as possible . Scenarios or examples would be much appreciated. BTW the sooof app and using a computer seems a little inconvenient but I’m open to best options.
