I just rented a movie via my iPhone - I now want to watch it on my tv - ( which has Apple TV on it)- how do I sync the movie from my phone to my tv?

You can watch your rental on Apple TV by completing the steps below that are also listed here: Rent movies from the Apple TV app - Apple Support

On Apple TV, smart TV, or streaming device

1. Open the Apple TV app. 

2. Go to the Library tab.

3. In the sidebar, select Rentals. If you can't find Rentals, either your rental expired or wasn't rented with the Apple ID that you used to sign in.

4. Select your movie rental, then select Play to start watching it. 

You can't download rentals to your Apple TV, smart TV, or streaming device.
