International Accidental Damage Coverage

If I purchased an Apple Watch from the US and want to use the accidental damage warranty at a store in Japan, is it covered? Or, would I need to send it to a store in the US?

That depends. Is this a WiFi +GPS watch? If so, yes, the warranty is valid in Japan. If, however, you bought the Watch with cellular, it is only valid in the U.S. And, no you will not be able to send the watch to Apple in the U.S. You will need to send it to a friend or family member in the U.S. and have them arrange for warranty service.
