iTunes for Mac

My iTunes is not opening for reason it is being updated. I am unable to uninstall iTunes so as to reinstall it. I get a message "You do not have permission " although this is a home computer and does not have an Administrator. How do I uninstall iTunes?

Reinstall over the top of your current copy without trying to uninstall. See iTunes for Mac installers - Apple Community.
