Apple watch date sync

My apple watch 7 will not allow me to reset data sync. When I push the option on my Iphone 13 promax, nothing happens. It is like the button is dead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When you reset sync data there is no confimation of this,it just happens in the background.
