I keep running into an error when trying to install new sounds and drummers.

After I enter my admin name and password, I get the following message from Garage Band:

  1. I have quit and reopened the Garage Band as well as rebooted.
  2. I have checked my Music folder and I have write access enabled and the folder is not locked
  3. I have plenty of disk space available and there don't seem to be any other system settings in the way

OK - I resolved the issue by updating Garage Band on my MacBook Pro to release version 10.4.6 / build version 5602, which was offered as an update through the app store.

Hope this helps someone at some point! It was really the first thing I should have checked on!
