Infrared sensor

Hello , i just wanted to ask you about my iphone Xs or general iphones , like does iphone have an infrared sensor in front facing camera for face detection ( red infrared) or you apple don’t make any of infrared sensors on any iPhone device? Pls help me.

Infrared rear camera flashing I’ve realize on pretty much all newer iPhones (and some iPad Pros) that if a non-infrared filtering camera is pointing at the rear camera of an iDevicr, it will pick up light flashes from it. Now I know that infrared light flashes are used for mapping your face with the front camera. and the rear LiDAR sensor is used for depth mapping. But why would it be flashing when in standby (locked)? What need does the device have to map while not in use? thanks

Infrared flash continuously flashes into my eyes, even with Face ID, not turned on. I am curious to know if anyone has any data regarding the intensity or wavelength The infrared flashes on my iPhone are producing? Are these wavelengths ok for vision? I do not have face ID activated on my phone and and there are bursts of infrared flashes while i enter in my code on the Lock Screen. While unlocked, The phone still flashes bursts of infrared into my eyes. I have only recently realized how often this has been happening since I installed a nighttime camera that could see the infrared pulsing into my eyeballs. I am curious, because like many of us I am always looking into my phone screen. I am hoping these bright, pulsing flashes of infrared are not damaging. My iPad is also flashing infrared pulses while unlocked and without face ID activated. The only time these flashes are not active is when a movie or TV show is playing from iTunes. Besides that the flashes are continuous while scrolling through emails, looking online and using various apps. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

It flashes all the time even if you turn off Face ID. Anybody knows any official details from apple about it? We watch the screen hours a day, every day. Is it safe? why it flashes all the time even if Face ID is completed turn off? According to the above study there is effect from infrared light to the eyes. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏
