Safari "Add Website" button not working

Hi!

We have my kid on the "Allowed Websites Only" restriction for Screen Time and to add websites, I have to manually type in the url or copy/paste the URL and email it to myself to add it. There is a button that says "Add Website" that says " To add this website to your approved list, click Add Website." I included a screenshot. However, when we click on it, it doesn't work (I also included a screenshot of this).

It would be much easier to just click the "allow website" button, type in the passcode, and move along. Any ideas??

Thank you!

Hello sweetypie4280,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with not being able to add a website to a restricted list. First, have you tried restarting your Mac? This simple step can resolve a multitude of issues: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

"Restart your Mac

  • On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Restart.
  • If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”"

If the issue persists, does your Mac need updating? If so, follow the steps listed here to see if that resolves the issue: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

We hope this helps.
