IOS 15.6.1 requires password, OK, I made one. But IOS 15.6.1 also requires a fingerprint. My fingerprint scan never worked. Without it, I cannot change the setting to UNLOCK phone. Very frustrating. Also, every few minutes of inaction, I am locked out again and must reenter the password. HELP!

If you have not been able to use Touch ID successfully, chances are that your iPhone needed to be serviced. Updating to 15.6.1 just exasperated the issue. At this point, I suggest that you make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options. Alternatively, you can contact Apple Support directly. To do so, simply select the "Get Support" link in the upper right-hand side of this forum's web page.
