MainStage 3.6.1 issues: Certain software instruments are clicking when played

Using MacBook Air M1 16gb RAM 1tb HD. When using strings, horns or similar sustained instruments the output produces a low frequency click or pulse. This happens mostly with 3rd party plug-ins like OPUS, PLAY and Arturia but also using built-in sounds. This happens through built-in speakers, headphone out into a mixer and a USB A/D converter. I cannot find anything on this so far and EAST WEST has no suggestions.

Has anyone had this experience. FYI: the concert file size is 8.9GB in size, largest Patch is 1.2Gb. The concert CPU % range is 50 to 80.

Also, has anyone found that the M1 is glitchy running MainStage. It produces the rainbow spinning circle of death often. If I run in native Apple M1 mode I often get: An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart MainStage.

I now run it in Rosetta mode.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
