Apple Watch Screen time downtime is not limiting all apps

Hi,

I have set up screen time for my kids iPhone / Apple Watch SE. The devices are paired and both have the latest firmware installed.

When I active the downtime either manually or it is activating scheduled, it is not limiting all apps.

e.g. my kid can still modify watch faces or use the compass App.

How can I fully block the device using downtime so that my kid can only see the basic watch and not do anything else with the Apple Watch ?

Hi Opus_456,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Using Screen Time can restrict content, purchases, and privacy. There is currently no option to restrict all apps. Take a look at the following resource for steps to help with setting up Screen time on Apple Watch and more information on what can be restricted: Set up a family member’s Apple Watch - Apple Support

Hello and thanks for the answer.

Sad to hear that the functionality is not what I expected it to be.

The provided link is not totally suitable for my use case since that is meant for use cases where the family member does not have a phone. Here where I live, we cannot use Family Setup since it is not officially supported here. e.g. there are no mobile data carriers who would support standalone watches with mobile data plan.
