MacBook Pro M1 Max. Both trackpad and a mouse start registering 2 finger click instead of one finger click. Restart resolves the issue but after some time it comes back. Is it a HW issue?

Yes, tried everything even disables 2 fingers feature - never helped. I just also noticed that the volume gets maximized by its own right before trackpad starts malfunction
When I click with one finger Mac registers 2 finger click instead
