My apple pencil swipe function is not working correctly at times -- specifically in the Cooking Fever game. Tapping and writing and everything else seems to be fine, and sometimes the swipe works. Any tips to solve this problem?

I'd reach out to the app developer of this 3rd party game and see if they have suggestions. It's likely, they haven't optimized their game to work with Apple Pencil and that is something they would need to do.
Yes, it does. I have sent a message to the App developers and am awaiting a reply but also wanted to reach out here. Swiping with my finger in Cooking Fever works perfectly, but swiping with the Pencil only works sometimes.
But at times it does work with that game -- that's what has me confused!
Does your Apple Pencil work as expected in all other applications?
If it works as expected everywhere except this one application, it is likely with the application. Reaching out to the App Developer is the best course of action.
