Purchasing a tv show on Apple TV

So i want to buy Adventure Time on Apple TV and it says “Buy from $1.99,” but am i paying for the whole show for $1.99 or is each episode or season for $1.99?

Episodes are $1.99, season is $19.99. This is for SD. If you want HD, it's $2.99 and $24.99.

Will I have to pay? I started watching the "free first episode" of city on fire, hated it and changed to another streaming service. Since I do not intend to watch any more of that apple series will I be automatically charged for the "non-free" episodes?
