Will I have to pay?

I started watching the "free first episode" of city on fire, hated it and changed to another streaming service. Since I do not intend to watch any more of that apple series will I be automatically charged for the "non-free" episodes?

When signing in with an Apple ID account, users can watch select first episodes for free before starting a subscription. Sort of like a teaser, so you can see if any of it is to your liking, without commitment.

Apple TV+ is a subscription service, which gives access to the whole Apple TV+ catalog (not per series), as long as you are subscribed.

If you didn’t sign up for a subscription, then you will not be charged for a subscription.

Subscribers would get a confirmation email with the subscription details. If you did sign up for an Apple TV+ subscription, then that may start with a free trial (for new subscribers). If you cancel before the end of the trial minus 24 hours, then you will not be charged subscription fees. Only if you decide to stay subscribed and not cancel, then you would get subscription fee charges for the time after the free trial.

Did you read my previous post? The answers are there.

If you didn’t sign up for a subscription, then you will not be charged. The free episodes are free to watch; no charge. The remainder of the season(s) is only available to subscribers.

If you are unsure if you may have signed up accidentally and unintentionally, then verify as described here: Manage subscriptions in the Apple TV app on smart TVs - Apple Support. If that doesn’t list Apple TV+ as an active subscription, then you are not subscribed. If it does list Apple TV+ as an active subscription, then you can cancel there. If you cancel during the free trial period, then you will not be charged.

I want to continue being an Apple subscriber …

Oh, that makes a difference.

The Apple TV+ subscription is for all of the Apple TV+ content, both series that you like and series that you do not like.

There is no subscription for any specific series. If you want to watch Ted Lasso, but not City On Fire, then you get access to both anyway, as both are part of Apple TV+. It is a subscription service, flat fee. It doesn’t matter which shows you watch or not.

When you are a subscriber, then you wouldn’t see “watch premieres for free” anymore.

Thanks for the response.

It seems that the word "subscription" is used to describe 2 different things; a subscription to the streaming service and a subscription to the content (series) being discussed. When you say "cancel the subscription," to which are you referring? I want to continue being an Apple subscriber, but I do not want to pay for a subscription to the movie I rejected. Thanks.
