Any potential problems/fixes? Im under 40%, turned off optimized battery charging. The charging block works with another usb-c cable. Ive also tried using a different block. The cable is a day old - and was working fine yesterday.

You don't say what happens when you try a different power adapter with the day-old cable. If it does not work, but works with another cable, and the first power adapter works with a different USB-C cable, then the problem is almost certainly the day-old cable, even though it was working fine yesterday. All things die at some point, some earlier than others.
