When I stream via air play, I can’t fast forward the video? It just go back to the beginning.

Yes I think everybody had the same issue around August, and still no problem-fix from @Apple. A temporary solution: go to settings>general>airplay & handoff>automatically airplay to TVs>never. Now you can mirror your video and fully control it from your iPhon or iPad (fast forward, rewind, continue watching from where you stopped, etc…) but your device has to be on all the time which is battery consuming.
This not fixing it, I had this issue with the last ios 15 release and with the latest ios 16.

Tried the suggested - restart, update, another restart, but still no joy.
Airplay is useless without being able to fast forward.
Have the same issues in IOS16. It won’t allow rewind/forward on Samsung, Vizio, & Emerson.

Yeah I’m about ready to switch to android. They fix simple problems like this pretty quickly. This had been an issue years.

I am using safari- and have this issue , also this feature is why I went with apple tv rather than chrome cast , shame it is not working anymore.

Nope - problem occurs in safari on iPhone - so this is all on Apple
Any update or fix for fast forward when using airplay?
Still an issue in 2023… Apple please stop being trash and fix this or tell us if it’s an issue with Samsung so we can spam them instead
It works on my 3rd generation Apple TV, by not on either my Samsung TV 5 or Samsung TV 7.
This is an easily reproducible issue, how we can reach out to Apple support to fix this?
