I've tried some ways like turning off and restarting from previous answers to deal with the password issue for a guest user account. However, it still doesn't work. When I switch to the guest account, it still shows password requirements. *mac os monterey / Can anyone tell me what I should do to solve this problem? Thanks.

Btw, I found that when I switch accounts using 'fast user switching menu', the guest account will require the password; however, if I log out from the Apple menu. The guest account works - doesn't require password.

FWIW, that's not what happens here. I would try re-enabling the guest account.
FWIW, you could try disabling the Guest User account then re-enable it.

Yes. I've tried to enter without inputting the password. However, nothing happened - even the error message like the wrong password or entering your password didn't show up. The strange part is that it will go back to my admin account when I use the mouse to just 'click' in the blank area.
I have tried re-enabling the guest account, but it still requires the password when switching accounts from the menu bar.
I decided to ignore that part. Just use the log-out method. At least one still works. lol

Okay well on my iMac running Monterey 12.5.1, I'm not prompted for a Guest password at all. I don't know why you are. Maybe someone else knows.
lol You're welcome. FWIW, I get no Guest password prompt no matter what I do. Maybe someone will have another idea.
