Upload speed capped by Apple

Hi

I noticed that the speed to upload files to iCloud is limited by Apple at about 15mbps. That's very slow!

This limitation seems to be present for every upload stream. So, I can simultaneously upload different files with different browsers as well as the iCloud App for windows, which results in 4x15mbps=60mbps (for example). But this is extremely cumbersome and requires a lot of manual work.

Has anyone found a way to

a) disable the limit or at least increase it via a global user setting?

b) use another client, that has no speed limitations?

And before anyone asks; No, it's not my network, my ISP or my firewall. It's solely Apple's fault:

  • I have the exact same problem at work and at home
  • As I've written before: I can open multiple browsers on the same machine and upload different files. Every file upload uses 15mbps which accumulates to a lot more. -> It works but is too hard to manage
