Best GPU for Deep Learning on MacBook Pro (intel) 16" 2019?

Hi - Thinking of running deep-learning models on my local mac instead of in the cloud. If anyone has experience running ML models locally with or without an external GPU I would much appreciate your view on how much faster you models run with and without an external GPU. Also if you have any suggestions on what GPU to use with a MacBook Pro (intel) 16" 2019 I would be grateful for your suggestions. Thanks.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.5
