Emails from blocked addresses are in the spam, preference is set for trash

My question is basically in the headline...

I would appreciate it if someone had an idea or recommendation.

FYI and ever since the initial release of Monterey 12.0.1 the below setup will Block and Move to Junk Folder but does not move to Trash .

As pervious posting suggested creating a Special Rule to Move to Trash

But even that will not release the necessity of the User to Empty the Trash versus the Empty Junk as per Third Image below

thank you for your comprehensive answer. For me, junk and spam are the same - emails I don't want. Since my junk folder is more than full, I am starting to block the address of that junk mail. In the mail preferences, there are the options

a) Mark as blocked mail, but leave it in my inbox.

or

b) Move it to the trash. *

*that's what is marked. Now, I still get the junk email in the junk folder but now with the note "This email is from a blocked address". Hahaha...

That is not what I want. I want this junk email directly delivered to the trash folder.

Is that clearer now?

Emails from blocked addresses are in the spam, preference is set for trash
