M1 MacBook Pro can't detect UAudio Apollo x4 any more

A few days ago, my MacBook stopped being able to detect my Apollo x4. The UA software won't detect it, and nothing shows as connected in the Thunderbolt/USB4 section of the System Report.

I have an older Intel MacBook for work that I used for comparison, and it can see the Apollo just fine. I installed the UA software on it and everything works as it should.

I have run Apple Diagnostics on the M1 and no issues were found. I have reinstalled the OS. I have reinstalled the UA software multiple times. I have tried multiple Thunderbolt 3 cables. The M1 can see other Thunderbolt devices just fine, e.g., my CalDigit dock and various external drives.

Strangely, when I connect to the Apollo through my CalDigit dock, it will appear and disappear, cycling every ten seconds or so. But connected directly, it's as if it doesn't exist. I have no explanation for that.

I have been in contact with UA, but since the Apollo works with my Intel Mac, they say this is an issue I need to take to Apple. 🙄

Anyone have any insights? I feel like the only next step is erasing the M1 entirely and starting from scratch, but that seems a huge PITA.

Addendum: On the Intel Mac, even without the UA drivers installed, the Apollo still shows up in the System Report when connected. On the M1 Mac, the Apollo does not; it's like it's not even there, EXCEPT for the fact that the Apollo shows up as an "AC charger" in the Power section of the report, since it supplies enough voltage to actually charge the M1 a bit.

I have to wonder if this means something is shorted out in the M1 that for some reason only affects the Apollo, but not other Thunderbolt devices.
