Cannot install Monterey OS? I found a solution! I had Mojave and I wanted to update to Monterey(or any other OS compatible with 2015 MacBook Pro15 inches) . I had at least 60 gb free on ssd , I tried many times, but I couldn't , got a lot of error messages etc. So, I reinstalled Mojave, command+R , reinstall macOS Mojave( NO, it will NOT delete the contents of your ssd, it will just refresh the OS) . After that my MacBook Pro 2015 did some security updates and allowed me to do the update to Monterey without any problem. Have fun!

can't install Monterey I am on macOS Ventura and am regretting it. I tried to install macOS Monterey by restarting my Mac in the options window, but when I tried to install Monterey. It didn't let me do that on my start up disk. does anyone know what to do??

What happens when you try? What is the exact error message? We need some more details & clues.

How are you trying to install macOS 12.x Monterey? What OS is currently on the laptop?

Try booting into Safe Mode in case you have some third party software installed that is interfering with the normal operation of macOS.
