52 country code for facetime

I dont know why +52 is added before the number when I try to make a facetime call. None of my calls go through with that. I do not have it saved as a country code for any of my contacts.

+52 Being added to contacts I live in Mexico, and it is not necessary to dial the country code (+52) in order to call either a land line or a mobile phone. In fact, Mexico is set up for 10-digit dialing, and has been for several years. Yet for a number of my contacts, the number is actually being changed, and then the call does not go through. I can edit the contact numbers and yet it reappears. Telcel is my carrier.

Do you notice if this persists after closing FaceTime and restarting your device? If so, go ahead and Contact Apple Support so they can look into next steps with you.
