Unable to charge pasmo or suica transit cards

Starting Aug 2022 I have not been able to charge my Suica using a US debit/credit card. Anyone else having issues? Has Apple taken action?

Suica transit card not showing in my Apple Wallet after purchasing I've just used the feature that allows you to buy and add a Suica transit card directly to your wallet, and I loaded equal to $50AUD onto it through apple pay, however it hasn't shown up anywhere in my wallet app, nor in the expired passes section. I don't have the Suica card details so I can't access it any other way or re add it, as it never was in the wallet to begin with but the payment has definitely come off my bank card. I have an iPhone 15 on the latest version of iOS (I can see that below it's saying I have a 6s). Any ideas?

I can’t add value to Suica in my wallet What are the “valid” forms of payment to charge a Suica to my Apple wallet? I’m using a US card, but I’m in Japan, and it keeps telling me that the payment didn’t go through.

VISA cards are currently not working for Suica and PASMO recharge. Use Mastercard or AMEX.
