Can’t connect to air play

Trying to cast to tv won’t stay connected

Do you have the Apple TV box? If so, which model? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Verify that AirPlay is activated on the receiving device.

Verify that both devices are connected to the same home network.

For intermittent issues, restart all devices, including the router and any other network gear.

For bad connections, check for interference. [1] [2] [3]

What type of content are you trying to stream using AirPlay? Not all content provider support AirPlay.
