iPhone goes darker outside in shade. I can’t make it lighter screen.?

When I’m outside my iPhone 12 automatically goes to a darker screen. I have adjusted to brightest setting and it stays darker. How can I stop my phone from going darker outside?

Hello Mls1978,

You can turn Auto-Brightness off by following these step:

Tap Settings
Tap Accessibility
Tap Display & Text Size
Scroll down to and toggle Auto-Brightness off

This should stop the screen from changing.
