AirPods Settings

I just got new AirPods and they won’t function with tapping like they’re supposed to. When I went to info in Bluetooth like you’re supposed to to set them up there was no options to do so. I cannot even select left or right airpod or anything related to controls. It is NOT an IOS issue as this occurs on all of my devices including laptop and iPad as well as my iPhone. I’ve tried restarting my phone and the AirPods. Forgetting them and reconnecting too. Nothing has worked to get those settings to appear. It’s very inconvenient to not be able to pause or skip songs except for on my phone screen. Quite disappointed.

Airpods Pro and Airpods 3 do not have a tap function as there is no touch sensor on them.

They have a force sensor on the stem that you squeeze.
