InTune was added to my phone and my contact list was corrupted. I tried to restore using the online restore function using a date from prior to the download of Intune and it did not work.

The itunes store app is a pre installed app that comes with the phone.

The person reading the question mis read it. InTune is not the same app as iTunes.
InTune works with contacts
I lost my contacts they were not restored properly after I did online update. I am unable to obtain contacts with hims sharing the Icloude
