No. But, it will take much more time to charge. However, if there is damage to it (i.e. corrosion), then it may affect it --but that would apply to all chargers.

Wattage Differences in Chargers:

If the wattage is less than what is made for your Mac, then you would not get optimum use of what is required. If the wattage is greater that what is made for your Mac, then you'll only get optimum use of what is required --the speed will not increase.
