My 13pro max won’t connect to my 3rd generation Apple TV??

• Verify that your model Apple TV is indeed 3rd generation (A1427, A1469), as the very similar looking 2nd generation (A1378) isn’t supported for the software remote in Control Center.
• Verify that the Apple TV (3rd generation) has its system software updated to at least version 7.5.

I have had this issue before as well.

First, check that you are connected to the exact same WiFi network as your Apple TV.

Otherwise, try restarting your iPhone and your Apple TV.
