I never used HomeKit but I keep getting periodic notifications. How do I disable these when notifications have never been turned on?

Hi there Nyobie,

If you're receiving unexpected notifications for HomeKit on your iPhone, you can turn off notifications for the Home app in Settings > Notifications > Home.

Also, you can turn off Siri Suggestions for the Home app with these steps:

Turn off notifications for specific apps
1. Go to Settings > Notifications, then tap Siri Suggestions.
2. Turn off any app.

Take care.

Hello Nyobie,

Thanks for updating us with this information.

Let's check the Privacy settings on your iPhone to see if there is an app that is attempting to access HomeKit. If there is an app attempting to access HomeKit, this may be why you're being pushed a notification. For more information on the Privacy settings, check out the following information: Control access to information in apps on iPhone - Apple Support

Review or change access to information in apps

The first time an app wants to use information from another app, you receive a request with an explanation. For example, a messaging app may request access to your contacts to find friends who are using the same app. After you grant or deny access, you can change access later.

1. Go to Settings  > Privacy.

2. Tap a category of information, such as Calendars, Reminders, or Motion & Fitness.

The list shows the apps that requested access. You can turn access on or off for any app on the list.

If you're unable to locate anything there, could you provide more detail on what the notification shows? Don't include your Apple ID email address or any personal information as Apple Support Communities is a public user-to-user forum.

Have a great day!
