Apple Music Family Subscription

Recently i added a new member to the apple music family subscription. She had an individual subscription before and it’s supposed to change to family plan as mentioned on apple website, but it’s written there that she still has her old subscription and will have to pay for it. Does she have to cancel her individual subscription and add a new family account or when the subscription is be expired it will change to family?

She does not need to cancel it, and in fact should not manually cancel it as that may lead to losing music and playlists obtained from the subscription service.


It should be automatically cancelled if she has accepted the invitation to the Family Group.
