Music search not working

Music search not working

OS Monterey v. 12.5.1

iMac late 2015

The search function simply does nothing in Music unless I quit and restart for every time I want to search. It doesn't search my library, or anything else. Nothing happens. This happened after my most recent software update.

Has anyone else had and fixed this problem?

There have been lots of complaints lately.

If you are looking within your own library, View > Show Filter Field is almost always a better option.

Thank you, show filter field does a better job as you said.

Amazing that they ruined a very good search function but here we are.
