I need to unlock 2 phones to switch carriers

Your first task is to contact your current carrier to ask them to unlock the SIM cards in the phones. Only the carrier can unlock the cards. Please understand though, that they are under no obligation to do this.
If you can get your current carrier to unlock the SIM card, then you will need to contact your current carrier to get things working again.
