I can't find any decent current tutorials that show how to transport videos from Motion with a transparent background. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be done?

It is easy to export a video with transparency from Motion: just export to Quicktime using ProRes 4444 and make sure that background is set to transparent in the project inspector.
However, you also talk about putting it in a website. How long is the video? If it is quite short you may be able to make a gif file, and that should work for the web. Compressor, if you have it, can cpnvert the video to a gif. Tell us more and we may progress towards something that works best for your needs.

Hi Luis, I tried that and although it exported with a transparent when I used it in FCPX, when i put it into WIX, the black background came back. In the end, I found a solution. I added a Luma Key filter and dragged the slider to remove all the black.
Then I saved it as you suggested - ProRes4444 - And it worked fine.

I am glad that you made it work but something doesn’t sound correct.
If the background were really transparent, there should be no need to use the Luma Keyer.
Would it be possible to share a sample Motion document with the same structure (I don’t need the actual media)? You could send it to yourself using wetransfer and post a link here.
