Time Machine Error 19 - sparesbundle could not be accessed

I am getting an error when my Mac is trying to backup to my Time Machine - The backup disk image “MacBook Air.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error 19). I have a 2020 MacBook Air running Monterey 12.5.1. The back up begins but then stalls a few minutes in. I am backing up via wifi to a Time Capsule.

Edit to post above........

Hold down the option key on your Mac while you click the Time Machine "clock" icon at the top of the Mac's screen

Select Verify Backups

Unfortunately, your backup file has very likely become corrupted and is no longer useable. To confirm that this is the case.......

Click the Time Machine "clock" icon at the top of the Mac's screen

Select Verify Backups and run the check

The check might take anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on how much data is stored in the backup. Let the diagnostic process run until it completes or until you see an error message appear on the Mac's screen.

If an error message appears, post back with the exact text of the message.

Realistically, you should expect to have to erase the Time Capsule disk and start over again with a new backup.
