How to save and delete old text messages
I have about 10 GB of old text messages taking up space in my iCloud storage. How can I save these to disk and then delete them?

You would need something like PhoneView (https://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/) which is used by fellow forum members here. There are others as well with good reviews like iExplorer (in the MacOS App Store). These are not expensive apps, and many offer try before you buy options. They let you transfer texts to a MacOS or MS Windows computer as text or pdf files.
