Apple Watch SE Auto Brightness
Are there plans to fix this with a Watch OS update? I just got my new Apple Watch SE running Watch OS 8.7 and it's unreadable sitting in a darkened room. I may be returning it if there are no plans to fix this.

Thanks. I’m aware of why it’s happening, but I was wondering if Apple has any plans to make it adjustable or introduce the ability to disable it.
it makes the watch unusable in a dimly lit situation, regardless of font size.
If you disabled it then it would also stop this feature from working;
You can also quickly mute an incoming call by pressing the palm of your hand on the watch display and holding it there for three seconds. You must first turn on the option in the Apple Watch app on iPhone. Tap My Watch, tap Sounds & Haptics, then turn on Cover to Mute.
This is the ambient light sensor kicking in,this adjusts your screen brightness to match the surrounding area,there is no setting or configuration for this.
There's nothing to fix,that's how it works.
Understood. I didn’t ask for a “fix”. I’m curious if they would consider introducing the ability to disable the ambient light sensor similar to the option available on a MacBook.
I realize I misspoke in my original post. Not a “fix” I’m curious about, but an additional option to be added on a subsequent update.
