LOCKED OUT OF IPHONE AND APPLE ID DISAPPEARED

Hi Guys,

My wife has an XR and forgot her passcode. After fiddling about with it for a few hours, and at least 10 times entering the erroneous passcode, she was completely locked out.

Whats more, when i check icloud to find her Apple ID through 1st name, surname and email, it says her id does not exist.


What recourse does she have with APPLE to either get back her ID or complete reinstall the OS onto her phone and create a new apple ID.?
