Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Pro is a 2012 or newer model, then on the download link for Catalina in the Related Article above
Catalina and newer won't run 32-bit software; download and use Go64 as well as using the first link above.

Getting Microsoft Work:
Go to the App Store, then type Microsoft Word in the search bar. Proceed form there.

If your Mac is on OS 10.12 as shown in the equipment line under your post, it will not run the current version of MS Office. The oldest OS they support is macOS 10.15 Catalina.
