Can you force Podcast syncing via iCloud?

Sometimes I end up with too many podcasts to listen to. So on macOS, I go through and select "Mark as played" for the ones I don’t want to listen to.

However, these changes don’t always carry over to iOS devices that are connected to iCloud.

Is there any way I can do a forced sync. So the contents of the macOS app overwrite everything that's on iCloud. Then all iOS devices will match up with that?

Removing Podcast listing from Sync Settings list Mac Mini M2 (2023) Sonoma 15.1.1 Music v 1.5.1.24 I am trying to remove several podcasts (see attachment) from my Sync Settings without success. I have flushed old podcast listings from my Library > Group Containers and Preferences without success. I am not subscribed to any of these podcasts. I have run searches on my Mac looking for the podcast names and found nothing. I have also reset my iPod Classic twice but the listings remain. Any other thoughts? TIA

Podcasts don't sync between iPhone and Mac I mean, they do not sync at all. It's like two different applications. An episode or show added to iPhone's Podcasts app library doesn't show in the Mac app, and vice versa. I've selected "sync library" on both devices. The other apps I need synced - reminders, notes - have no issues. The fact that they don't even appear to attempt to sync makes me think that it is not a bug but instead I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas will be very appreciated!
