Time Machine restore of deleted Mailboxes

Hi Peoples.

I am trying to restore a couple of deleted mailboxes re time machine.

All is good in Mail/Time Machine and looks like it should, everything is cursor active apart from the 'Restore' tab. The selection bar of back up dates on the right does the usual highlight red and enlarges when scrolled over but it cant be activated.

The receding windows will activate corosponding to which mailbox is selected but none of the windows can be selected.

It is sort of like it's semi frozen?

macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Thanks.

Scott.

I do not use Time Machine for backups because my wife has to retain many old email messages for referencing and T.M. will not allow direct access to any of them. For all practical purposes, old saved messages are inaccessible to the normal user. We moved on to Carbon Copy Cloner which saves a mirror of everything, including the email messages. They are now easily located. You may want to look into switching to C.C.C. (I have no association with C.C.C.)
