Sounds easy, right?
Doing this on a Mac Mini that I'm accessing through Screen Sharing from my MacBook Pro.
Holding down the Option key does BUPKUS.
What's the trick here?

It might on what you're using for screen sharing. I've certainly been able to switch libraries while using TeamViewer. Anyway you might try this workaround. Launch the accessibility keyboard, double-click the Option key to make it hold down, then launch iTunes/Music.
