Touch problems after IOS 15.6.1

As I've recently updated to IOS 15.6.1 i've been experiencing touch problems. These manifest themselves in weird swipes and missclicks. Usually turning the screen off and then back on fixes the problem but it really makes for an unpleasant use of the phone. Im using the Iphone SE (1st gen) from 2016. If someone could help me that would mean a lot. Thanks in advance

  • You cannot go back to an earlier iOS legally.
  • The chances are your screen has failed.

First try a Forced restart

Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

If no better

Backup, restore to factory,  and   test, then restore from backup:-

(If the phone needs attention you will have to do this anyway)

If you can import your media to Photos or iTunes in a computer and copy important documents to a cloud server it will give you some resilience in case the restore from backup fails, or you need to ditch the backup and start as new.

If the problem remains then do step (2) again but set up as new without restoring any backup.

If it fixes it then it is probably a rogue app.

Otherwise arrange a repair

98% max capacity is unexpectedly high for an original battery in an iPhone SE (1st gen) which you presumably bought new back in 2016. ...It makes me doubt the accuracy of that 98% value.

You mentioned "turning the screen off and then back on", but not restarting... Apple's iPhone User Guide says: "If your iPhone isn’t working as expected, you can try restarting it by turning it off, then turning it back on. If turning it off and on doesn’t fix the issue, try forcing it to restart.":

Sorry i thought if you meant if it had the original battery as in apples battery not some other brand. I dont know if it's the original battery because im not the original owner, I suppose it's not. I tried restarting my device but after sometime it starts doing it again. Im gonna try going back to old IOS and if that doesn't help il presume that its a hardware issue. Thank you for your help.
