Should i use a keyboard protector?

so that i can prevent spills and crumbs.

then ill remove the cover once i will close the macbook. Is that okay? Or not?

Protecting MacBook keyboard Hello everyone, i recently purchased a M2 15” MacBook Air. This is my very first MacBook, or personal laptop. I want to know how i can protect my keyboard from wearing out from repetitive typing, although i have seen people use key keyboard covers, but i have heard that it damages your screen when you close it. I was fixing to get stickers to put on it but that would also protect it from dust, or cat hair. Protective Skins, Keyboard cover I wanted to know that Is using Skins over my MacBook air for protecting it from scratches Ok or not? and also should I use Keyboard cover so that my laptop screen got no imprints of Keyboard keys or not? Is their any high risk of Screen damage or Heating of laptop? If any then any alternate solution for above problemS?

I would not advise anything between the keyboard and the display in the event of an accidental closure that adds enough pressure to permanently damage the display.
